Are You Fucking Kidding Me?! Donald Trump?!

I cannot for the life of me understand why Donald Trump is now the President of the United States of America. It just baffles me that people have voted for him. The 70 year old business tycoon went into the election as the marginal underdog with Hilary Clinton expected to win. Almost every betting website had Hilary at around $1.75 to "take out the prize" in the morning of November 8th. Unfortunately, as the votes began to roll in, support for Trump became more apparent. I was honestly shocked to see the number of people who had voted for him. Even yesterday I still thought this was just a shit joke and that when it came to the nitty-gritty of it (voting), American's would use some common sense. Clearly, I was wrong about 50% of them.

While American's voted for their new leader, Australian's kept an eye on the results of the US Election via the Internet or the television. There wasn't even this much hype around our own Federal Election earlier this year. Maybe it was because whatever happens in America affects the rest of the world. Or MAYBE it's because one of the candidates is a REALITY TV STAR! The entire US Election felt like a TV show and not something that was real. I'm still waiting for the season finale where Trump gets killed off and all the other characters (the rest of the world) live happily ever after. A girl can dream I guess...

So let me get this straight, just so that there's no miscommunication. America has voted for a man who has filed for bankruptcy a total of six times, called Mexican immigrants "rapists", told 14 year old girls that he'd be dating them in a couple of years time, joked about sexually assaulting women on multiple occasions, has no idea about world economics, wants to create a database for Muslims (just like Hitler did for the Jewish people during WW2), advocates killing terrorist's families, encourages violence in every situation, and is all together a narcissistic bastard? Okay cool. Just so I know.

What does this mean for the rest of us, the non-American world citizens? Well, prepare for World War Three, an assassination or Trump being kicked out of politics before his first term is up. Good luck America and good luck for the rest of us. We'll need it.
